(a)
maternity and child welfare services;
(b)
anti-tuberculosis services;
(c)
for health education; and
(d)
generally for the prevention of disease and the promotion of health.
(2)
Any proportion of the cost establishing such a Health Centre may be paid to the local authority by the Government.

(3)
For the purpose of conducting a health centre, a local authority may employ such staff on such conditions as the authority may deem fit:
Provided that the Director may by order prescribe minimum qualifications for such staff and no local authority shall employ any staff for any duty not possessing the qualifications so prescribed for that duty.
