(2)

Whoever, on being required by a Riverine Transport

Officer to give information under this section, refuses to comply with such request by the officer or furnishes as true, information which he knows or has reason to believe to be false, shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, imprisonment for three months and a fine of one thousand ringgit.

(3)

A Riverine Transport Officer may without warrant enter any vessel, wharf, jetty or any other permises for the purpose of ascertaining whether the provisions of this Ordinance or its regulations or the conditions or restrictions of any permit issued under this Ordinance or its regulations are being complied with, and may call upon any person to produce such books, accounts, articles or other documents or things as such officer may consider necessary for the purpose:

Provided that any person not in uniform purporting to exercise any powers under this section shall on demand produce his written authority to exercise these powers to any person lawfully demanding the same.
