The Speaker may, in the case of the death or unavoidable absence of a Member or in the event of a Member ceasing to be a Member of the Assembly, nominate another

Member to take the place of such Member on any Select Committee. As soon as may be after such nomination the Clerk shall give notice thereof to Members and every such nomination shall be announced to the Assembly at its next sitting.
