The Commissioner or authorized officer conducting a search under section 126 or 127 shall be given access to computerized data whether stored in a computer or otherwise.
Commissioner
“Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Buildings appointed under subsection 4(1), and includes any Deputy Commissioner and other officers appointed under subsection 4(1) to exercise the powers or perform the duties imposed on the Commissioner;
For the purposes of this section, “access”—
includes being provided with the necessary password, encryption code, decryption code, software or hardware and any other means required to enable comprehension of computerized data; and
has the meaning assigned to it in subsections 2(2) and (5)
of the Computer Crimes Act 1997 [Act 563].
