Section 209

of Syariah Court Civil Procedure Enactment 2004

Section 209

(a)

exercise all duties and powers conferred upon him by any written law;

(b)

exercise his functions in Court or in Chambers in any proceedings within the local limits of his jurisdiction; and

(c)

enter judgment by confession or consent of parties in Court or in

Chambers.

(2)

A Judge may exercise in Court or in Chambers all the powers conferred on the

Registrar under section 208.

(3)

A Judge of a Syariah High Court may, on the application of any person or in his discretion, order the Syariah Subordinate Court to reinstate any case that have been rejected.

(4)

A Chief Syar'ie Judge may, on the application of any party or in his discretion, order any Court to reinstate any case which has been rejected.
