Section 157
Transmission of records to Syariah Appeal Court and Syariah Supreme Court
of Syariah Criminal Procedure Enactment 2004
When an appellant has compiled with sections 153 and 155 -
(a)
the Registrar of the Syariah High Court shall forthwith transmit to the Syariah
Appeal Court seven copies of the record of proceedings of the case together with seven copies of the notice of appeal and petition of appeal; or
(b)
the Registrar of the Syariah Appeal Court shall forthwith transmit to the Syariah
Supreme Court seven copies of the record of proceedings of the case together with seven copies of the notice of appeal and petition of appeal, as the case may be.
(2)
The Registrar of the Syariah High Court or the Registrar of the Syariah Appeal Court, as the case may be, shall also furnish the respondent or his Syar'ie Lawyer with a copy of the record of the proceedings of the case and a copy of the notice of appeal and of the petition of appeal.
