Section 159

On appeal against acquittal, accused may be arrested

Where an appeal is presented against an acquittal, the Syariah Appeal Court or the

Syariah Supreme Court, as the case may be, may issue a warrant directing the accused to be arrested and brought before it and may remand him to prison pending the determination of the appeal or admit him to bail.
