An operator who has established a takaful fund shall from time to time notify the Director General in writing the person having custody of any such document on behalf of the operator.

Any document kept by the Director General or by a person approved by him pursuant to the proviso to subsection (1) shall not be released except with the consent in writing of the Director General.

Any such document which is for the time being held by or on behalf of the operator shall, within such period as may be specified in the notice given in writing by the Director General to the operator or to the person having the custody of the document, be produced for inspection to the Director General or a person nominated by him by the person to whom the notice is given.

A person who fails to comply with this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding four thousand ringgit, and to a daily fine not exceeding two hundred ringgit.
