Section 28

Any person who, by any statement, promises or forecasts which he knows to be misleading, false, or deceptive, or by any fraudulent concealment of a material fact, or by the reckless making (fraudulently or otherwise) of any statement, promise or forecast which is misleading, false or deceptive, induces or attempts to induce another person to enter into or offer to enter into any contract of takaful with an operator shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
