Section 5

Where any person holds himself out to be a registered takaful operator in respect of family solidarity business or general business or both where he is not registered under this Act in respect of that business, that person shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine of twenty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term of twelve months or to both, and to a daily fine of not exceeding four thousand ringgit.
