(2)

During the period of six months from the date of the coming into force of this Act an existing trade union may deliver to the

Director General an application for registration under section 8, together with a general statement of the assets and liabilities of such trade union prepared in such form and containing such particulars as may be prescribed:

Provided that such application need not be accompanied by the copy of the rules and the particulars required by subsection 10(2) unless the

Director General, within one month from the date upon which such application is made, shall so require.

An existing trade union shall not be registered unless the

Director General is satisfied that it complies with this Act.

(4)

In the event of an existing trade union failing to deliver an application for registration pursuant to subsection (2) within the period of six months from the date of the coming into force of this Act it shall immediately upon the expiration of such period be deemed to be dissolved, and its funds shall be disposed of in accordance with the rules of the union.
