Section 6A
(1)
In addition to the grounds of opposition under section 34, the registration of a collective mark consisting of geographical indication may be opposed by any interested person⸺
(a)
on any ground under subparagraph 3(1), 3(2) or 3(5); or
(b)
if the geographical indication has fallen into disuse in its country of origin.
(2)
For the purposes of subparagraph (1), “interested person” has the meaning assigned to it under the Geographical Indications Act 2022.
