(2)
A written notice of the intention to cancel the registration shall be served on the higher education provider and the notice shall specify the grounds for such cancellation.
(3)
The higher education provider shall be given an opportunity to make written representations within thirty days from the date of the notice in subsection (2).
(4)
After the expiry of the period of thirty days stated in subsection (3) and after considering any representation made under that subsection, the Agency or, in the case of a professional programme or professional qualification, the relevant professional body, shall—
(a)
issue a warning and give directions for the higher education provider to rectify the situation to the satisfaction of the
Agency or the relevant professional body, as the case may be, within the stipulated time; or
(b)
proceed with the proposed action to cancel the registration.

(5)
If the higher education provider fails to rectify the situation as required under paragraph (4)(a), the Agency or, in the case of a professional programme or professional qualification, upon the advice of the relevant professional body, the Agency may proceed to cancel the registration.
(6)
Where the registration has been cancelled, the Agency shall enter the date of cancellation into the Register and shall give notice of the cancellation to the relevant authority.
(7)
The higher education provider shall surrender the certificate of accreditation issued under subsection 72(5) to the Agency within thirty days from the date of revocation.
