Section 79

Section 79

(2)

For the purpose of evaluation under subsection (1), the

Agency or the relevant professional body, as the case may be, may—

(a)

require any person to furnish it with such information and particulars as may be required to determine the application;

(b)

collaborate, cooperate or coordinate with any person, including the government agencies, higher education providers, student bodies, academic staff, quality assurance and accreditation bodies, professional bodies and employers; and

(c)

establish a committee for the purpose of considering, verifying and making recommendations on the application.

(3)

Where the Agency or the relevant professional body, as the case may be, certifies the programme or qualification as being equivalent to a qualification in the Framework, the Agency shall issue a certificate of equivalence, in the form as may be prescribed, to the applicant upon payment of the prescribed fees.

(4)

No action shall lie against the Agency, the relevant professional body, the Chief Executive Officer or against any officer of the Agency where the certificate issued under subsection (3) is not accepted for purposes of employment or for entry of further education.
