Section 3
Section 3 of the principal Act is amended—
(a)
in subsection (1), by substituting for the words “Director
General of Customs and Excise and such number of
Deputy Directors General, Assistant Directors General,
Directors, Senior Assistant Directors and Assistant
Directors of Customs and Excise” the words “Director
General of Customs and Excise and such number of
Deputy Directors General, Assistant Directors General,
Directors, Deputy Directors, Senior Assistant Directors and Assistant Directors of Customs and Excise”;
(b)
in subsection (3)—
(i)
by inserting after the words “Assistant Directors
General, Directors,” the words “Deputy Directors,”;
and
(ii)
by inserting after the word “sections” the words
“10f,”; and
(c)
in subsection (4), by substituting for the words
“Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents of Customs and Excise” the words “Superintendents, Chief Assistant
Superintendents, Senior Assistant Superintendents and
Assistant Superintendents of Customs and Excise”.
