Section 82
Section 111b of the principal Act is amended—
of Customs (Amendment) Act 2019
(a)
in subsection (2)—
(i)
in paragraph (a), by deleting the word “and” at the end of the paragraph; and
Customs (Amendment)
(ii)
by inserting after paragraph (a) the following paragraph:
“(aa) may make copies of or take extracts from the recorded information or computerized data referred to in subsection (1) as he deems necessary; and”; and
(b)
by inserting after subsection (3) the following subsection:
“ (4) Any person who contravenes subsection (1)
or the request to provide any reasonable assistance under paragraph (2)(b) shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to both.”.
