Section 14
Subsection 25(2) of the principal Act is amended—
of Workers' Minimum Standards of Housing and Amenities (Amendment) Act 2019
(a)
in paragraph (a)—
(i)
in the English language text, by substituting for the word “workers” the word “employees”; and
(ii)
by substituting for the words “water and electricity”
the words “water supplies, potable water supplies and electricity”; and
(b)
by inserting after paragraph (a) the following paragraphs:
“(aa) to prescribe the minimum requirements for various classes of buildings to be used for the accommodation and centralized accommodation of employees and the minimum sanitary

requirements, water supplies, potable water supplies and electricity supplies and other matters pertaining to health in respect of such buildings;
(ab) to prescribe any class, category or description of employees that is required to be provided with accommodation under Part IIIa;
(ac) to prescribe the maximum rental or charges for accommodation that may be collected under
Part IIIa;”.
