Section 6
(1)
In ensuring energy efficiency in carrying out his activity, business or trade, an energy consumer to whom this Act applies shall develop an energy management system within the period as may be prescribed and implement the energy management system.
(2)
The energy consumer shall develop and implement the energy management system in accordance with the guidelines.
(3)
Any energy consumer who contravenes subsection (1)
commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit.
(4)
Any energy consumer who contravenes subsection (2)
commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand ringgit.
