Section 56
—
(1)
No officer acting under the direction of the Minister, the Controller, Deputy Controller or Inspector shall be personally liable for any act or default done or omitted to be done in good faith and without negligence in the course of the discharge of their duties under this Ordinance.
(2)
The Public Authorities Protection Act 1948 [Act 198] shall apply to any action, suit, prosecution or proceedings against the State

Government, Minister, Controller, Deputy Controller, Inspectors, the
Tribunal or any member or officer in respect of any act, neglect or default done or committed by any of them in such capacity.
