Section 172

Upon production to him of a certificate of transmission lawfully issued by a Probate Officer pursuant to the provisions of the

Administration of Estates Ordinance [Cap. 80 (1948 Ed.)], whereby any land or an estate or interest therein is vested in any person, the

Registrar shall make appropriate entries on the Register and on the relative documents of title to give effect to the said certificate and, until such entries have been made, the certificate shall have no effect in vesting or transferring the said land or the estate or interest.
