the advancement, support and promotion of the religion of Islam;

the benefit of Muslims in accordance with Islamic

Law;

the social and economic development and well-being of the Muslim community;

the relief of poverty among Muslims;

the granting of loans or otherwise to Muslim individuals for higher learning under the scheme established under section 5(2)(f);

the provision and maintenance of places of worship and burial grounds for Muslims;

the provision of religious and educational facilities for

Muslims;

the payment of any costs, charges and expenses of maintaining and administering property and assets of the

Baitulmal vested in the Majlis;

the salaries and allowances of all agents, officers and servants of the Majlis engaged to administer the Baitulmal;

fees and allowances payable to members of the Majlis and the Lembaga and members of the committees established by the Majlis and the Lembaga respectively under this Ordinance and to any person invited to attend any meeting under section 18;

the payment of any costs, charges and expenses for carrying into effect this Ordinance and in connection with the administration of the Baitulmal; and

such other charitable purposes as the Majlis may, with the approval of the Minister, deem fit.
