Director may close watercourse or forest road

Section 98
(1)
Notwithstanding any other written law to the contrary, the Director may prohibit the use of any watercourse in a permanent reserved forest or of any forest road.
(2)
Any person who fails to comply with any prohibition imposed by the Director under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to both such fine and imprisonment.
(3)
In this section, “watercourse” means any access by river.
