Section 33

Power to prosecute and legal representation

The prosecution of any offence against this Ordinance or any rules made thereunder shall be conducted by the Public

Prosecutor or any person duly authorized by him under section 377 of the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593].

In regard to any suit or proceeding of a civil nature by or against the Board, the State Attorney-General or any person duly appointed or authorized by him shall represent, appear and plead on behalf of the Board in any court having jurisdiction over such suit or proceedings.

For the purposes of subsection (2), the word “Board” shall include any member of the Board or the Controller or any person

appointed or employed under section 3(9)(b) or any committee established under section 3 (9)(c).
