Each storage tank shall be constructed of iron or steel or other approved material and shall be designed and erected according to standards approved by the licensing authority and shall, together with all pipes and fittings be so constructed and maintained as to prevent the leakage therefrom of petroleum.
(2)
Each storage tank shall be electrically connected effectively with suitably rated conductors to individual earth connections at not less than two separate points placed at opposite extremities of such tank.
(3)
Each storage tank other than a floating roof tank shall be fitted with one or more effective vent pipes not less than one inch diameter the upper ends of which shall be protected by non-corroding metal wire gauze having a mesh of not less 400 openings to the square inch or other type of flame trap approved by the licensing authority.
