Section 24
—
(1)
No person shall promote, organize or stage any temporary food fair, function or event, whether within any premises or in any open space, where food is cooked or prepared and sold for public consumption, without first obtaining a permit from a local authority.
(2)
No permit shall be issued unless a public health officer certifies that the premises or space where such food fair, function or event is held is in a clean and sanitary condition, with proper ventilation and with adequate toilet and wash basin facilities, and supplied with clean drinking water from a water supply authority or such other source as may be approved by a local authority.
