Section 48

of PROTECTION OF WILD LIFE ACT 1972

Section 48

(2)

No person shall be granted a written permit authorizing him to enter a wild life reserve or a wild life sanctuary unless—

(a)

in the case of a wild life reserve he is a licensed hunter; or

(b)

in the case of a wild life reserve or a wild life sanctuary he satisfies the Game Warden by way of a written application, that he intends to enter the wild life reserve or the wild life sanctuary for the purposes of art science or recreation.

(3)

Any written permit granted under this Part shall specify the period during which the holder of the permit is authorized to enter the wild life reserve or the wild life sanctuary, which period shall not exceed one month in respect of each year. but may be renewed for periods of up to one month at a time.

(4)

Where a person authorized to enter a wild life reserve or a wild life sanctuary enters the wild life reserve or the wild life sanctuary, he shall be accompanied by a Game Warden an authorized officer or by any other officer.
