Section 4A
Where, during any period, the Chairman has been granted leave of absence by the
Yang di-Pertua Negeri or is unable, owing to his absence from the State, illness or any other cause, to discharge his functions as Chairman, any person appointed to act as Chairman during that period shall be paid such sum as may be determined by the Cabinet:
Provided that the sum payable to such person shall not exceed the total remuneration payable to the Chairman during the period of his absence or in the case of a member, the sum shall be the difference between his actual remuneration as a member and that of the
Chairman during such period.
