Section 5A
Issuance of Timber Industry Licence
of Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation Ordinance, 1973 ( Ord. No. 3/73 )

No person shall establish, build, operate or manage any plant, factory or premises for carrying out any timber industry except under and in accordance with a timber industry licence issued by the
General Manager on such terms and conditions.
(2)
Every timber industry licence issued shall—
(a)
be in the form prescribed by regulations made under section 24;
(b)
be displayed in a conspicuous part of the premises in respect of which the timber industry licence relates; and
(c)
be produced for inspection upon demand by the
General Manager or any person duly authorised by him.
(3)
A timber industry licence issued under this section shall be valid for a period of not exceeding one year from the date of issuance or for such longer period as the Minister may, in any particular case, approve in writing.
