Section 28
of SARAWAK TIMBER INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ORDINANCE, 1973 ( Ord. No. 3/73 )
Section 28
(a)
he has reasons to believe that the person is about to abscond;
(b)
the person suspected of committing an offence, refuses to give his identity or address; or
(c)
that person has given an identity or address which is false.
(2)
Where the General Manager or authorized officer arrests a person pursuant to subsection (1), he shall, as soon as reasonably and conveniently possible, bring him to the nearest police station.
(3)
Any authorized officer may investigate any offence committed under this Ordinance or regulations made thereunder and may exercise all the powers of the police relating to investigation into offences as provided in the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593].
