(2)
The appointment of the Commissioner of Buildings, any Deputy Commissioner of Buildings and other officers under subsection (1) shall be made by notification in the Gazette.
(3)
Subject to any direction of the Minister which is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, the
Commissioner shall have charge of the administration of this
Ordinance and may perform such duties as are imposed and may exercise such powers as are conferred upon him by this Ordinance or any other written law.
(4)
Subject to any direction of the Commissioner which is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, any powers conferred on and duties to be performed by the
Commissioner under this Ordinance or any other written law may be exercised or performed by any Deputy Commissioner or other officer appointed under subsection (1).
(5)
Notwithstanding subsection (4), the Commissioner may, by notification in the Gazette, delegate all or any of his powers or functions under this Ordinance to any other person.
(6)
The Commissioner may, by notification in the
Gazette, give any direction as he deems fit which is not inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance to any person charged with the responsibility to manage and maintain any building or land intended to be subdivided into parcels or subdivided building or land, as the case may be.
