Section 30

Where a minor defendant attains majority during the pendency of any proceeding, either he or his guardian ad litem may file an affidavit in proof of such majority and thereupon the title of the proceedings shall be amended, and the guardian ad litem shall be discharged, subject to any questions of costs occasioned by his negligence or misconduct.
