Section 246
(1)
There shall be established a Committee to be called the Syariah Court Rules
Committee consisting of –
(a)
the Chief Syar'ie Judge who shall be the Chairman;
(b)
a representative of the Majlis Ugama Islam Negeri Sabah;
(c)
a representative of the State Attorney-General's Chambers;
(d)
a representative of Syar'ie Lawyer; and
(e)
two other persons appointed by the Chief Syar'ie Judge.
(2)
The members appointed under paragraph (1) (e) shall hold office for a period of two years and shall be eligible for reappointment.
(3)
The Chief Registrar of the Syariah Court shall be the Secretary of the committee.
