of Syariah Courts Ordinance, 2001
The
Yang di-Pertua
Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Majlis, by notification in the Gazette,

constitute Syariah Subordinate Courts for the State at such places as he considers fit.
(2)
The Yang di-Pertua Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Majlis, by notification in the Gazette, constitute a Syariah High
Court for the State.
(3)
The Yang di-Pertua Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Majlis, by notification in the Gazette, constitute a Syariah
Appeal Court for the State.
(4)
The Yang di-Pertua Negeri may, on the recommendation of the Chief Syariah Judge, prescribe in writing a code of ethics which shall be observed by the Chief Syariah Judge and all Judges of the
Syariah Court.
