Section 55
Casual vacancy
of Syarie Legal Profession (Federal Territories) Act 2019
Any casual vacancy arising amongst the elected members of the
Majlis Peguam Syarie shall be filled by the Majlis Peguam Syarie by the appointment of a person qualified under this Act, and the new member shall hold office for the remainder of the term of office of the member he replaces.
(2)
Notwithstanding any vacancy in the Majlis Peguam Syarie, the continuing members of the Majlis Peguam Syarie may act if there is a full quorum.
(3)
No act done by or under the authority of the Majlis Peguam Syarie shall be invalid in consequence of any defect subsequently discovered in the election or qualification of the members or any of them.
