Taking over property, etc., by the Majlis Peguam Syarie
of Syarie Legal Profession (Federal Territories) Act 2019
The Majlis Peguam Syarie may, if it has reasonable cause to believe that any Peguam Syarie, his partner or employee has committed an offence of dishonesty in connection with the Peguam Syarie practice as a Peguam Syarie or in connection with any trust of which the Peguam Syarie is a sole trustee or co-trustee with his partner or employee, issue a certificate to that effect.

Upon issuance of the certificate, any property, document which belong to, or any money due to, the client of the Peguam Syarie or any trust held by the Peguam Syarie, his partner or employee shall be dealt with by the Majlis
Peguam Syarie in accordance with the provisions of the Third Schedule to the
Act.
