Section 33

A Local Authority may in such manner as may be prescribed assess and levy a development rate on the annual value of all houses, buildings, and lands in the area within its jurisdiction at such rate as the Council, with the approval of the Minister of Finance, may fix:

Provided that such rate shall not exceed five per centum of the annual value of the property rated.

Funds to be voted by Legislative Assembly.
