Section 7

(a)

to sue and be sued in all courts;

(b)

to have and use a common seal and to alter the same at its pleasure;

(c)

to purchase any immovable or movable property and to take, accept and hold any such property which may become vested in it by virtue of any such purchase or by any grant or donation, lease, subventions, legacies, testamentary disposition or otherwise;

(d)

to sell, lease, exchange or otherwise dispose of any such property not inconsistent with any condition or restriction as may be imposed by the Constitution; and

(e)

to exercise, discharge and perform all such powers, duties and functions as may be conferred or imposed on the

University by this Act or the Constitution.

(2)

The powers conferred on a University by subsection (1) shall, unless otherwise expressly provided by this Act or the Constitution, be exercised by the Board.
