General offences
of Co-Operative Societies Act 1993
It shall be an offence under this Act if—
(a)
a co-operative society, an officer of a co-operative society or a member of a co-operative society performs any act which requires the consent or the approval of the
Commission or the general meeting without first having obtained such consent or approval;
(b)
a co-operative society, an officer of a co-operative society or a member of a co-operative society neglects or refuses to do an act or thing which is required by or under this Act, regulations or orders, to be done; and
(c)
a co-operative society or any person does or causes to be done an act or thing prohibited by, or fails to comply with, the requirements of this Act, regulations or orders.
(2)
Any co-operative society, officer of a co-operative society, member of a co-operative society or any person, guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit and shall in addition, be liable to a daily fine of one hundred ringgit for each day during which the offence continues after conviction.
