of VALUERS, APPRAISERS AND ESTATE AGENTS (AMENDMENT) ACT 2017
Section 30
The principal Act is amended by inserting before section 30b as renumbered the following section:
“Powers to investigate 30a. (1) A police officer not below the rank of an Inspector shall have the powers to investigate the commission of any offence under this Act or any rules made under this Act.
(2)
The provisions of the Criminial Procedure Code [Act 593]
shall apply to a police officer not below the rank of an
Inspector in relation to any investigation in respect of any offence under this Act or any rules made under this Act,

except that the power to arrest without a warrant under the
Criminial Procedure Code in any seizable offence may not be exercised by the police officer.”.
