Regulatory objectives

Section 6
The principal regulatory objective of this Act is to promote financial stability and in pursuing this objective, the Bank shall—
(a)
foster—
(i)
the safety and soundness of financial institutions;
(ii)
the integrity and orderly functioning of the money market and foreign exchange market;
(iii)
safe, efficient and reliable payment systems and payment instruments; and
(iv)
fair, responsible and professional business conduct of financial institutions; and
(b)
strive to protect the rights and interests of consumers of financial services and products.
