Section 51

in paragraph (a), by substituting for the words “nuclear installation” the word “facilities”;

in paragraph (b), by inserting after the words “obstructs,”

the words “blocks, interferes,”;

in paragraph (f), by substituting for the words “prescribed substance, irradiating apparatus” the words “radiation generator”;

in paragraph (h), by deleting the word “or” at the end of the paragraph;

in paragraph (i), by substituting for the comma at the end of the paragraph  the words “; or”;

Atomic Energy Licensing (Amendment)

by inserting after paragraph (i) the following paragraph:

“(j) without lawful authority, breaks, tampers with or damages the seals referred to in subsection 33(3) or removes any radioactive material, nuclear material, radiation generator, device, container, book, document or other thing directly or indirectly relating to or connected with activities involving radioactive material, nuclear material or radiation generator from the premises, site, facility or conveyance under seals or attempts to do so,”; and

by substituting for the words “commits an offence under this Act and is, on conviction, liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to both” the words

“commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six years or to fine not exceeding twenty-five thousand ringgit or to both”.
