Section 44
(1)
A person who hinders or attempts to hinder any person from giving evidence before the Commission or by threats, deters or attempts to deter any person from giving such evidence, commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to both.
(2)
A person who threatens, insults or injures any person for having given evidence, or on account of the evidence which the person has given before the Commission, shall be guilty of an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to both.
