Section 32

The principal Act is amended by substituting for section 159

the following section:

“159.  (1)  The Commission may, with the approval of the

Minister, make regulations as may be necessary or expedient for—

(a)

giving full effect to the provisions of the securities laws;

(b)

carrying out or achieving the objects and purposes of the securities laws; or

(c)

the further, better or convenient implementation of the provisions of the securities laws.

(2)

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), regulations may be made for the non-application of any of the provisions of the securities laws to any specified person or to any person who is a member of a specified class of persons, subject to any terms and conditions prescribed.”.
