Section 16

Any licence to excavate may, on the expiration of the period for which it was granted, be extended by the Director for such further period or periods as he shall deem fit.

Any licence to excavate may, at any time before the expiration of the period for which it was granted, be cancelled by the Director and the holder thereof shall not be entitled to claim compensation for any loss or damage suffered or alleged to have been suffered by him by reason of such cancellation.

Any person aggrieved by the decision of the Director to specify any condition in any licence or to refuse or to cancel any licence under this Part may appeal to the Minister, whose decision shall be final.
