Section 84
Improper carriage of goods
Every person subject to service law under this Act who being in command of any ship, aircraft or vehicle of the armed forces, without lawful authority—
(a)
receives or permits to be received on board the ship, aircraft or vehicle any goods or merchandise intended for disposal or delivery by way of trade or business (whether on his own account or on account of any other person), not being merchandise received in the course of salvage; or
(b)
agrees to carry any goods or merchandise on board the ship, aircraft or vehicle in consideration of the payment of freight, or demands or receives any payment in respect of such carriage, shall be liable to dismissal from His Majesty’s service or any less punishment provided by this Act.
