Licences to which sections 27I to 27L apply

Section 27H

Sections 27I to 27L shall apply to the following descriptions of licence granted by a collective management body otherwise than in pursuance of a licensing scheme:

(a)

licences relating to the copyright in literary or musical works which cover works of more than one author, so far as they authorize—

(i)

reproducing the work;

(ii)

performing, showing or playing the work in public;

(iii)

communicating the work to the public; or

(iv)

distributing the work to the public; and

(b)

licences relating to the copyright in any other works, so far as they authorize—

(i)

making copies of the work;

(ii)

performing, showing or playing the work in public;

(iii)

communicating the work to the public; or

(iv)

causing the work to be publicly performed, shown or played, and in those sections, a “licence” means a licence of any of those descriptions.
