Section 59C
(1)
If for any period the Chairman of the Board is temporarily absent from Malaysia or temporarily incapacitated through illness, or for any other reason is unable to perform his duties, the Minister shall

appoint any person to perform the duties of Chairman during such period.
(2)
Where the office of Chairman becomes vacant the Minister shall appoint any person to perform the duties of the Chairman until such time as the vacancy is filled.
