Board to give effect to Minister’s directions

Section 59I
(1)
In the exercise of its powers and the performance of its duties and functions under this Act, the Board shall be responsible to the Minister who may, from time to time, give directions not inconsistent with this Act, and the Board shall as soon as possible, give effect to all such directions.
(2)
The Minister may at any time require the Board to submit to him proposals for the introduction of new Social Security Schemes or the modification or extension of the existing schemes as may be necessary for the fulfillment of the Government’s social policy programmes.
