Registration of manufacturer or importer
of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024
An application for registration by a manufacturer or importer who intends to distribute an energy-using product to which this Act applies shall be made to the Commission in such manner as may be determined by the Commission.
(2)
An application under subsection (1) shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee and such information, particulars or document as may be determined by the Commission.
(3)
After considering the application, the Commission may—
(a)
approve the application and issue to the applicant a certificate of registration in such form as may be determined by the Commission; or
(b)
refuse the application, stating the grounds for refusal.
(4)
The certificate of registration issued under subsection (3)
shall be valid for a period as may be specified in the certificate of registration.
