Section 9
(1)
Except for the purpose of this Act or for the purpose of any civil or criminal proceedings under this Act or any other written law, no person appointed under section 4 or licensed person and employees of the licensed person shall disclose any manufacturing or commercial secret which may at any time come to his knowledge or has been obtained by him in the course of his duties under this Act.

(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
